The client wanted a dedicated home theatre in a specific room but still wanted to have views from the front of the property looking through into the back. A motorised screen was installed in front of the window in this room between the theatre cabinetry to maintain the views when the cinema is not in use. When the cinema is in full action, it can be closed in to provide that cinematic feel or with the bi-fold doors opened, a large party of people can gather around to view the 100-inch screen on the deck.
The second theatre system in the living room boasts a 60-inch plasma with discreet in-ceiling Bowers & Wilkins speakers and subwoofer. The Crestron wireless touch screen also controls the lighting and fireplace, setting the appropriate mood scenes.
For the rest of the house, there is a 50-inch LCD on the study desk, a 50-inch in the pool room and a 42-inch in the master bedroom.
