Smart Wired living room
Press a 'theatre off' button located behind one of the recliners in the home theatre and the lights will fade as the movie cranks up, leaving only the low concealed lights for a dim lighting effect. When the credits roll, choose the 'theatre on' and the reverse will occur, powering up the lights in the room.
The lighting effect is thanks to Clipsal C-Bus, which also operates the lights in the rest of the home. There are various scenes the family can press to achieve a different lighting mood. An 'entrance' scene lights up the front of the house when someone walks in the door, and an 'all-off' scene in the main bedroom turns off all lights in the home in unison.
"We have a couple of party scenes that we call 'Vegas', where various lights go up and down throughout the house and the garden lights come on at the same time. Our guests are always quite impressed when we press one button and so many things happen."
"We also have a 'security' scene that we can press if we hear any rustling going on outside during the night. It turns on all the lights inside the house and out, scaring any potential intruders away!"
