With both parents working full-time as pilots, two young children to look after, and a home located an hour?s return drive from the nearest shopping centre, this family was in need of a smart wired home that would integrate technology into everyday living.

Introduction

The smart wired design criteria for this Calypso Bay home, QLD, had to cover a range of technologies, as well as offer remote access from the family's car, boat and even from the other side of the world.

An important requirement was an easy-to-use control system based around existing iPhones for total systems integration. Intelligent lighting, multi room audio, keyless entry, integrated security and a media room are key components that make up this smart wired waterfront home.
