What this calculator does:

This calculator is designed to be used as a tool to help you determine the total cost of wiring a NEW HOME when they are being constructed (not part houses or renovations) and present the final table as a quote to clients. The pre-sets are for a standard house i.e. one storey 6 rooms and two storey 8 rooms. The calculator is fully adjustable to meet specific dimensions and needs.

What you need:

Before proceeding it is advisable to have price lists for the following items -Cat 5 cable, TPS (T&E) 2.5mm, RJ45 (3 plug), Double GPO Power Sockets, Quad Shield RG6 cable, F connectors, F Connector Sockets, Figure 8 cable, 14020 4 core security cable, P.I.R's, Code Pad, External Siren, Camera, 18 AWG - 2 pair unscreened Audio cable, Stranded Cat 5 cable, Connectors - Blank Plates, Power Cable TPS (1.5mm), Power - control S conductor (insulated with HDPE) 16 AWG Standard neoprene Jacket (PVC).

How to use this calculator:

Select the number of storeys and the options which you would like to calculate then press enter.
On the following page enter the cable prices then proceed by checking the figures i.e. number of rooms/outlets. If you change the number of rooms/outlets you MUST press the "Adjust" button in order for the change to take effect.
Continue adjusting the figures and entering the prices per each item to your specifications. NOTE: It is not necessary to press the "Adjust / Calculate" unless you wish to see the adjusted price immediately.
After entering any changes and all of the applicable prices press the "Total" button to calculate. NOTE: For any item that you do not wish included in the total cost just leave the price at zero.
Repeat these steps to make additional changes and then click on the final link in order to view and print your Bill Of Materials. On the final page clicking home will reset the calculator.
